Workers at Flex-N-Gate, a Windsor Assembly Plant supplier, have rejected a contract offer.

Employees voted 62 per cent against the tentative agreement Saturday.

Unifor Local 195 president Gerry Farham says the union has contacted the employer and they are waiting to find out if the two sides will resume bargaining.

About 140 employees work at the plant, which makes door rails for the Chrysler minivan.

Farnham says workers feel the company could provide better wages, signing bonuses and pensions.

He says the three-year deal, endorsed by the union, did include a $1.30 wage increase over three years.

The contract expires on April 28.
