Windsor fire crews battled a basement fire in the city's east end Friday morning.

The fire broke out shortly before 6:30 a.m. at 3114 McRobbie Rd and is a new construction.

Fire officials say damage is estimated at $175,000.

The home was vacant and nobody was hurt.

Crews arrived to find flames in the basement and heavy smoke throughtout the home.

The cause has been listed as undetermined.
