An early morning fire has caused $200,000 damage to a LaSalle home.

The blaze broke out at 4 a.m. There were two adults home at the time. Both got out safely.

LaSalle fire Chief Dave Sutton says 30 firefighters needed to tackle fire. One firefighter suffered a minor burn to his ear. He was treated at the scene.

It started in the basement. He says it was tough to fight because it made the upper floors unstable so for the most part they had to fight it externally.

The Red Cross has set up the two adults with somewhere to go, since the home was totally damaged.
