A fifth individual has turned himself over to police, after a 15-year-old male was found unconscious on Monday evening.

Windsor police says a 17-year-old male turned himself in on Wednesday and is now charged with aggravated assault. He joins two females, ages 15 and 16, and two males, ages 17 and 20 as the accused in the assault of a teen.

Officers were called to an apartment in the 1000 block of Marentette Avenue to assist EMS around 7:30 p.m. after reports a teen had been assaulted.

Police say the victim was found breathing but unresponsive, laying on the ground in an apartment unit, with obvious signs of swelling and bruising to his face and a bleeding nose.

He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with a brain bleed and remains in serious condition in hospital. He has since been moved from ICU and his condition has improved to stable.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
