Chatham-Kent police seized about $16,000 in fentanyl patches and oxycodone tablets from a Chatham home.

Members of the intelligence section executed a search warrant at a residence in Chatham on Wednesday.

Along with the fentanyl patches and oxycodone tablets, a quantity of illegal cigarettes, Canadian currency and US currency was seized.

Dennis Nicolai, 56, of Dunn Avenue in Chatham was charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.

He was released with conditions pending a future court of Aug. 12.
