The Windsor Airport terminal building will receive $225,000 worth of renovations.

It’s one of eight local projects benefiting from the federal government’s Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

“Here in Essex and Windsor, these local projects will create jobs, growth and long-term prosperity in our community,” says Essex MP Jeff Watson.

The city and Essex County will share $1.4-million in funding.

- Kingsville Historical Park Inc - upgrades, renovations, and improvements to the museum $18,104

- Town of Essex - upgrades to the Harrow Arena $223,938

- Town of Kingsville - extension of the Hamlet of Ruthven Sanitary Sewer along Peterson Side Road $475,490

- Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor Essex Cty Branch - energy upgrades to community mental health facility $30,020

- Filipino Community Centre Inc. - renovation and improvements to the Filipino Community Centre $182,860

- Town of Tecumseh - upgrades to Lacasse Park baseball diamond $166,667

- Town of Tecumseh - expansion/upgrades to the Tecumseh Arena $83,334

- Your Quick Gateway (Windsor) Inc. - improvements to airport terminal at Windsor Airport $225,000
