Damage is pegged at $250,000 following a house fire in the 2300-block of Front Road North in Amherstburg.
Crews were called around 9:30 Saturday night and arrived to find heavy smoke showing from the home.
The LaSalle Fire Department was called in to help.
The blaze was knocked down in about three hours.
Officials says the fire appears to have started in the basement, but the cause will remain undetermined as the house is now not safe to enter.
Nobody was injured.
