An overheated extension cord is to blame for a fire in south Windsor.
Fire crews were called to 3592 Howard Ave. Monday morning, shortly after 8 a.m. Firefighters were quick to extinguish the blaze.
Damage is pegged at $10,000 and has resulted in this displacement of nine residents.
Howard was briefly closed, but has since reopened.
