Be prepared for higher than normal energy costs when your January statement arrives says Union Gas.
The company has noticed a spike in demand due to the freezing temperatures. A spokesperson from the utility says the two weeks of cold conditions have so far added $8 to a monthly bill for the average home owner.
Andrea Stass says despite the increase, she assures customers there's no risk of running low on supply.
