Essex County OPP are asking for the public’s help finding a vehicle that was involved in an alleged hit and run in Belle River on Saturday night.
Officers say a vehicle drove into the door of a grey 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier that was parked on Summer Street. Police responded to the crash at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
A witness described the suspect vehicle as a compact-type dark coloured vehicle, possibly a two-door GM product that struck the front driver’s door of the vehicle and fled away at a high rate of speed, say police.
There was an unknown amount of damage.
