The strike by Essex County library workers is now more than 120 days old, and the MPP for Essex wants it to end.

Taras Natyshak stood up in the Ontario legislature on Monday and said the strike has reaching its tipping point.

“For over one hundred days the people in my riding have been without library services due to a strike. “ Natyshak said.

The New Democrat MPP is calling on the Premier to offer any resources available to end the work stoppage.

Natyshak notes “the government defines a strong library system as a cornerstone of a strong community that contributes to education, literacy and life-long learning for Ontario residents.”

The local MPP added local parents and children shouldn't have to wait any longer to access their libraries.
