A 24-year-old Essex man has been charged with breaking into three homes in Tecumseh and Essex.

OPP say the break-ins took place in November, 2015.

A residence in the 6000 block of South Talbot Road in Tecumseh was broken into in early November 2015 and several items including cash, electronics, clothing, alcohol and a shotgun were stolen.

On Nov. 6, 2015, a residence in the 13000 block of Pinkerton Road in Essex was broken into and alcohol and jewelry were stolen.

The same day, a residence in the 15000 block of Essex County Road 8 in Essex was broken into and jewelry, ammunition and 15 firearms were reported stolen.

After a thorough investigation, Richard Strangway, 24, of Essex was charged with the following offences:

-Break and enter commit an indictable offence x 3

-Break and enter steal firearm x 16

He was taken for a bail hearing and remains in custody.
