Employees of a Windsor call centre are concerned for their safety after bed bugs infested a number of floors in their building.

"Everyone's stressed out right now,” one employee said.

Many employees at Sutherland Global Services in downtown Windsor allege their current working environment is unsafe.

“About a week ago, we were informed there were bed bugs. They had a dog come in and investigate, sniffing around the cubicles,” an employee said.

Workers say they were given the notice last week that fumigation was to take place this weekend, but that it was business as usual.

The workers disagree.

“The whole building should be shut down.”

CTV News spoke to dozen of employees who do not want to give their names for fear they will lose their jobs.

Workers said there were dizzy and nauseous and they have concerns about the temperature.

“It is stifling hot in there,” one said.

Management at Sutherland Global Services said they had no comment.
