Brave Windsorites rappelled down Caesars Windsor Tuesday morning to raise money for children and youth with physical disabilities.

CTV Windsor reporter Sacha Long was one of this year’s participants in the Easter Seals Drop Zone.

“This is a truly unique event for people looking for a thrilling adventure, all while benefitting a great charitable organization in our community,” says Afshin Ali, development officer for Easter Seals Ontario. “The 2014 event raised over $60,000 for children with physical disabilities and we are looking to surpass that goal this year.”

Each participants plunged down 27-storeys and tried to raise a minimum of $1,500 in donations.

Windsor is one of 14 Canadian cities to host a Drop Zone event in 2015. Nationally, over 6,000 rappellers have taken part in Easter Seals Drop Zone events, raising over $10 million.
