There was no shortage of issues discussed at the Ward 3 public meeting in Windsor.

A large crowd discussed issues of drugs, homelessness, neighbourhood safety and crime as well as vacant properties at Thursday’s meeting.

"Lot of drug use, needles, people hanging around properties asking for money from customers” shared Gurbax Bhullar, who owns property downtown.

Councillor Rino Bortolin told the crowd they are going to tackle the issues.

“We are definitely addressing it, we are not ignoring it,” said Bortolin.

Bortolin added many of the complaints he receives from residents have to do with park improvements and the community improvement plan.

The next meeting is for Ward 2 councillor John Elliott. It will be held next Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at MacKenzie Hall.
