Three Chatham residents are facing charges after an investigation into the trafficking of cocaine and methamphetamine.

Members of the Chatham-Kent intelligence branch conducted the investigation on Monday and were granted a search warrant.

The warrant was executed at a motel on Grand Ave. E. in Chatham. Three people were found inside the motel room. A search revealed a quantity of prescription drugs, cocaine, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia.

A 66-year-old female, 50-year-old female, and a 24-year-old male were arrested. All three face charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property over $5000 obtained by crime.

They are all held for a bail hearing.
