A 23-year-old male driver faces a number of charges following a crash involving a 15-year-old pedestrian who was walking her dog, two other vehicles and a utility pole.

Windsor police responded to a collision at Jefferson Boulevard and Wyandotte Street east around 11 p.m. last evening.

Besides three damaged vehicles, police saw a number of people tending to a pedestrian, who was transported to hospital with a broken collar bone.

Witnesses told police one of the drivers was responsible and had fled the scene.

The canine unit located the suspect driver hiding a short distance way.

A man is charged with dangerous driving, failing to remain at the accident scene and impaired driving.
