Windsor Regional Hospital's Met Campus will be hosting a mock Ebola patient scenario involving EMS, doctors and hospital staff.

The drill - to help ensure responders are prepared to deal with an Ebola patient - will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Emergency Department.

As part of the staged scenario, an individual suspected of having Ebola will arrive via EMS, and the response of all involved will be on display.

The hospital notes that Windsor Regional is not a designated hospital for Ebola and the results of blood tests for the disease take about 24 hours.

As a result, any patient - even one that tests positive for Ebola - would likely not stay at Windsor Regional for more than 48 to 96 hours before being transported to a designated hospital.
