The North American International Auto Show organizers are celebrating a strong attendance at this year’s show.

The total ticketed attendance for the public portion of the show was 808,775, beating last year’s total of 803,451.

Organizers say it is the largest attendance in 12 years.

“For two weeks, we’ve seen the confidence and felt the commitment that auto manufacturers have placed in our show, and in our city,” said 2015 NAIAS chairman Scott LaRiche in a news release. “They unveiled unbelievable products in dramatic fashion; they built beautiful new, interactive displays; and dozens of amazing digital screens created a sensory extravaganza.”

The Detroit show also hosted 5,025 journalists from 60 countries during the media preview.

During the industry preview, 35,551 people attended from 2,001 companies and 25 countries.

For the Charity preview, 15,350 people helped raise $5.3 million for children’s charities.

The predicted total economic impact of NAIAS 2015 was $400 million US.
