The driver and a passenger in a car struck by a cement truck on the E.C. Row Expressway Thursday afternoon are very lucky.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near Walker Road around 3:30 p.m.

It looked like things could be much worse, but the senior driver and a passenger both walked away with no life-threatening injuries.

Police were cleaning up the scene in the eastbound lanes of the roadway, and drivers were being asked to avoid the area.

There is no word on whether any charges will be laid in the incident.
