A two-vehicle crash early this morning helped Windsor police nab a robbery suspect.

Officers met a transport truck driver who complained he was allegedly robbed by the driver a gold coloured car after the vehicles collided at Crawford Avenue and Tecumseh Road West around 4 a.m.

Police arrested the suspect a short time later and determined the suspect had a similar description to a person of interest in an earlier robbery.

Windsor police say a man was approached in the Caesars Windsor parking lot while he was getting into his car around 1:30 a.m.

Another male first asked for a cigarette, then returned with a knife demanding money.

The complainant was in his car and refused to hand over any money.

The suspect left in a gold-coloured car.
