Canada's most famous astronaut Chris Hadfield is taking his passion for music to new heights.

The former International Space Station Commander is performing with the Windsor Symphony this weekend and he's very excited to do so.

"I started into a song with the Windsor Symphony and I realized I got my guitar messed up. Let's just stop! Wait a minute! Let me get the cable in the right spot! Sorry let's start again," says Hadfield.

"I'm not the best music composer, I'm not the best singer, I'm definitely not the best guitar player but this is my particular Sistine Chapel," he adds.

Hadfield says Windsor is the launch of his musical symphony career, expecting more Canadian orchestras to compliment his original music.

"It's a soaring warm sensation that pours up my back that doesn't get there really any other way," says Hadfield.

"To share music with other musicians publicly and create something that's not the best song in the world. It's not the worst song in the world, but it's the way that we are creating this music right now and that's what i really love," says Hadfield.
