TORONTO - Chrysler Canada is reporting a three per cent increase in car and truck sales in June over the same month last year.

The company says it sold 27,013 vehicles last month, up from 26,222 in the year-ago period, with records for its Jeep, Fiat and Ram Truck brands.

The Dodge Dart, Jeep Wrangler and Ram also put in a strong showing.

Chrysler says this marks the 55 consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, the longest streak in its history.

The Jeep brand sold 6,817 units, while Fiat sold 854 units, an increase of 12 per cent over 2013.

A total of 5,420 minivans sold in the month, along with 8,034 Ram trucks.
