Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne says he's not threatening to pull Chrysler out of Canada if the government doesn't supply a sizeable investment to the automaker.

In an opinion piece written in the Globe and Mail, Marchionne says he's not threatening to leave Canada If the automaker doesn't receive roughly $500 million in investments from both levels of government.

Marchionne says "self-proclaimed" experts are demonizing Chrysler's potential investment.

The CEO says talks remain both professional and cordial with the government and says he's optimistic an investment will be made soon.

Chrysler is looking at a potential $4-billion investment in Windsor and Brampton.
