A Chatham man is fighting for his life after being rescued from Lake Erie.
Chatham-Kent police say a 45-year-old man was in distress in the water off Erieau beach this afternoon.
He was with his family.
Another beach-goer came to his rescue and got the man to shore.
EMS responded and treated the man at the scene.
Police are still investigating but it appears a medical condition could have been a potential cause for the incident.
