A 52-year-old Chatham cyclist has died from injuries sustained in a crash last month.

Chatham-Kent police say they learned the man died on Monday.

The incident happened on Oct. 30, shortly after 6 a.m. Police say the cyclist was travelling eastbound on Park Avenue East in Chatham.

He was found lying on the gravel shoulder of the roadway. The man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by ambulance and later airlifted to a Windsor Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers believe he was struck by a passing car.
