OPP have charged a 54-year-old man after a crash between a motorcycle and a small tow truck.

It happened shortly after 1:30p.m. on Tuesday.  A motorcycle and a Ford pickup truck collided at the intersection of Manning Road and County Road 34.

Police say the driver of the bike slid his machine to avoid a worse impact with the truck.

Both the driver and his female passenger were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 54-year-old man from Lakeshore has been charged with turn not in safety.

Police remind the public to be cognizant of all other vehicles, in particular motorcyclists and cyclists sharing the highways at this time of year.
