A mattress fire in a residence forced the closure of southbound lanes on Walker Road Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to 3174 Walker Rd. and found a mattress on fire in an apartment unit.
The fire caused smoke and water damage to other units and the commercial property below it, but nobody was injured. It was estimated at $100,000.
The cause has been listed as undetermined.
There were no injuries.
