Commuters travelling across the Ambassador Bridge on Monday were slightly delayed due to a preparedness exercise at the Canadian plaza.

According to the Canada Border Services Agency, the training exercise involved traffic control measures, which slowed Canada-bound non-commercial commuters for roughly 15 minutes. Traffic bound for the United States was not affected.

CBSA officials say the exercise started around 10 a.m., but is now complete. The exercise is part of an ongoing protection initiative with the Ambassador Bridge Company, and Windsor emergency services.
