It looks as though Windsorites favour the Campus Concept as the preferred new design of Windsor’s future city hall.

Project administrator Wadah Al-Yassiri says over 1,000 people have voted online and so far the Campus Concept is a head of the Gateway Concept.

Al-Yassiri says it is not official yet, as voting remains open until 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Administration will present Windsor's city council with a report that will outline the final numbers and the official choice of the public, as well as its recommendation of top choice, at the Oct. 6 council meeting.

Construction of the new city hall is expected to start at the end of 2015 and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.

It will be built just south of the current city hall, which will be demolished once the project is complete.
