Theresa Carriere says she’s feeling much better after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.

She is planning a 100 kilometre one day run to help raise money for cancer patient education. "I'll be running from Sarnia to London on June the 12th.”

Carriere has run that distance three times before.

Carriere is from London, but was in Windsor to spread her message of hope at a fundraiser Wednesday evening.

The dinner was organized by Surria Fadel.

"She's visited over 30 schools in Windsor alone so she has made a really big effect in this community.”

Carriere will not be alone on her run as she’ll be joined by one person who’ll run beside her for each kilometre.

Carriere will continue to train physically and mentally, "I try not to stop because I think for anyone who runs knows that if you stop you’re always fearful you can't get those legs going".

People can track her journey by following it on her website onerun.ca .
