An extensive search has been conducted at a Windsor rail yard, after employees discovered a body part.

A police source tells CTV News that no other body parts were found Tuesday at the Caron Avenue rail yard.

A rail worker tells CTV News that the body part was a human hand, with missing fingers.

"I was looking down and thought it was a piece of wood at first, and then thought it was a goose's foot, and then saw the finger nails," Todd Morneau, a conductor with CP Rail, says. "I had to keep working so I just put it off to the side, finished working then brought it up for the police."

A forensics team was called the scene along with the coroner, but the search was called off by Windsor police later Tuesday evening.

It remains unclear though whether anything else was found in the search.
