A 35-year-old Brampton man has been charged with stunt driving after Chatham-Kent OPP say he was caught speeding on Highway 401.
An officer noticed the driver in a BMW SUV on Highway 401 near Currie Road in Elgin County just after 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Police say the radar clocked a speed of 158 km/hr in the 100 km/hr zone.
The 35-year-old driver has been charged with racing a motor vehicle and failing to surrender an insurance card. His driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
