A swarm of honeybees took over a flower pot in downtown Windsor Wednesday afternoon.
Thousands of buzzing bees converged at the corner of University and Ouellette avenues, catching many by surprise.
Local beekeeper Dale Baxter says the swarm was likely in search of a new place to call home while protecting their queen.
He rescued the bees and says he has a hive waiting for them.
