Windsor police have arrested two men in unrelated robberies in the city.

The first robbery took place at Shoppers Drug Mart in the 3100 block of Howard on Aug. 10.

A police probation and parole officer was contacted by Correctional Service of Canada with a suspect name of a former offender. Windsor detectives viewed crime scene images of the suspect from various security cameras in the drug store and positively identifed the suspect.

The suspect was found on Thursday at 9:50 p.m., walking in the 3400 block of Howard Avenue. He was arrested without incident.

Samuel Nana-Effah, 26, is charged with robbery with a weapon.

The second case took place on California Avenue on Aug. 19. A man was allegedly tied up and robbed when he returned home to find two men inside.

Police say the victim confronted the suspects and they produced a handgun and knife. His cell phone and a small amount of cash were stolen.

One of the suspects was arrested at his residence in regards to an allegation of assault. Police say he had property in his possession from the California Avenue residence.

Zoltan Zoldi, 20, is facing 13 charges, including break and enter and assault with a weapon.

The second suspect, who police say produced a knife during the incident, is still outstanding. He is described as a white male, 25 years old, 6'2", skinny build and medium length hair. He was wearing a light grey hoodie.
