Companies have more time to make a submission for the naming rights for the new aquatic complex.

The City of Windsor is extending the Request for Proposals deadline to April 11.

“With the holiday fast approaching and the number of inquiries being so high of late, we want to ensure all interested parties have a chance to make a submission”, says deputy solicitor Shelby Askin Hager.

The $78-million, 144,000-square-foot complex is currently under construction. It will feature a 45,000-square-foot aquatic water park and a competitive area with a 71-metre pool with dive tower. The indoor water park has a nautical theme surrounded by state-of-the-art slides, including a double flow rider, lazy river, and wave pool.

There are naming rights opportunities for the overall facility, indoor water park, competitive pool area, fitness area and 10 program rooms.
