A day at Sandpoint Beach is now more fun for everyone.

Windsor resident Norah McCabe can finally enjoy the water again thanks to two new amphibious water wheelchairs.

The chairs will be available from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. every day, weather permitting.

New accessible beach matting has also been installed, to help those with mobility issues get to the beach and water.

The matting is made from 100 per cent recyclable materials.  It will be installed every year before the beach season and stored during the off season.

The project cost about 37,000 and was made possible by the Windsor Accessibility Advisory Committee.
