Almost 100 cars will be available at the inaugural Maple City Classic Car Auction in Chatham this weekend.
Blenheim-based Collector Car Productions is hosting the event on Saturday in downtown Chatham at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre.
"With Chatham-Kent being so close to the U.S. border and the record crowds every year at other local car events, this is a great location for an auction of this kind," says CCP founder Dan Spendick.
"Our annual Toronto auctions in spring and fall will continue to serve that region while in between those events, we can utilize our resources and contacts to develop a new market here in the classic car capital."
The family-friendly indoor event will offer a variety of classic and special interest cars and trucks, along with several lots of memorabilia up for bids.
Some of the unique vehicles up for bids include a 1931 Ford Model A Special 'Woodie' Delivery Wagon, an original 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe, a Canadian-built 1955 Studebaker Commander Coupe, and a 1976 Pontiac 455 HO Trans Am.
