A 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with impaired driving after he was allegedly driving erratically on Highway 401 in Tecumseh.

Provincial police in Tecumseh received numerous complaints regarding an erratic driver westbound on Highway 401 travelling through Tecumseh on Sunday at approximately 12:30 a.m.

The grey vehicle in question was swerving over all three lanes on Highway 401 and collided with the cement centre barrier a number of times, police say.

Officers located the vehicle and sole occupant of the vehicle.  He exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

Jeremy Harrison, 23, of Chatham was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol content.  He will appear in a Windsor court on July 20, to answer to the charges.
