One person is in police custody after a man was allegedly struck in the head with a pipe.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Moy Avenue on Friday around 4:30 a.m., after receiving several calls from concerned citizens about a fight.

When police arrived they spoke with the 44-year-old victim, who was bleeding from the head. The victim pointed to a man sitting on the front steps of a residence and claimed the suspect hit him in the head with a pipe.

Police say the seated suspect was still holding the pipe in his hands. Colin Kendall, 42, of Windsor was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.

After speaking with police the man became unconscious. He was transported to hospital with a suspected internal brain injury.
