The soft launch for the Adventure Bay Family Water Park has been pushed back till mid-January.
The City of Windsor held a news conference Tuesday afternoon, where they announced the soft opening for the water park would be delayed. Originally, Adventure Bay was scheduled to open Dec. 27.
The city has the delay is a result of two amusement rides being stuck in red tape. The city is awaiting final approval from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority. The two rides are the Master Blaster and the Wizard.
The opening will now take place on Jan. 18.
Mayor Eddie Francis says 200 people purchased tickets for the park between the dates of Dec. 30 and Jan. 5. Those people will be given two free tickets for every one ticket purchased.
