Chatham-Kent police seized 10 guns and a crossbow from a man they allege is currently prohibited from possessing firearms.

Police searched the man’s residence in the Tilbury area after two men reported a homeowner holding a rifle and yelling at them to stop looking at his house.

The homeowner was located by police and short distance away and arrested.

Following a search of home police found seven shotguns, three rifles, one crossbow, and ammunition.

The 51-year-old Tilbury man has been charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited, careless storage of a firearm and careless storage of ammunition.
